Feeling Like a Failure? Here’s How to Shift Your Mindset & Move Forward

Here’s to the First Personal Post

Thanks for showing up to my blog. My plan with this Personal catagory is simple: I’ll share emails I have written and sent to my email list when I feel the pull. No strict schedule, just real thoughts, real conversations.

I love writing. I love what I’m doing now. It feels peaceful and freeing—but I’m also human, and my mind is full of thoughts. Lately, one keeps coming up:

Am I failing? Am I missing opportunities? Am I on the right path?

Luckily, I’m deep into editing my book—something I wrote last year—and it’s bringing me back to peace, alignment, and feeling content. But when you’ve been doing something consistently for 10+ years, it’s normal to question everything when you make a shift.

If you’ve ever been in the same job, the same role, the same routine for years, and then you finally take the step to change… you know this feeling. You step into unknown territory, and the only thing guiding you is faith.

You feel that it was the right choice, but fear still creeps in.

That’s what courage really is—acknowledging the fear and still moving forward. Acknowledging stress and still doing something about it. Acknowledging anxiety and still showing up for yourself.

Since stepping away from social media—something I showed up for consistently for 10+ years—I’ve been writing more, working on my book, and creating something that actually lasts.

I’ve also felt less distracted, more at peace, and just less stressed.

But still, there’s this little voice whispering, You’re not doing enough.Which is crazy, but I guess that means social media did its job—it wants to pull you back in, to make you feel like you need to be there.

Maybe you know that feeling too? Like if you’re not constantly showing up, you’re somehow falling behind?

But here’s what I had to remind myself:

Not being on social media doesn’t mean I’m falling behind.

It actually means I’ve stepped into new territory and am finding new ways to go about my work and my life.

What I want to create—my book, my emails, my blog posts to you, my YouTube videos—feels more meaningful to me. It’s real. It’s something that actually helps people long-term.

I’m about to make a new vision board, and when I have the time, I’d love to share the process with you.

Vision boarding feels like setting a dream spell into the energy of life. And when you remind yourself of your dreams daily with a positive note, you start to feel it like it’s actually happening. And when you feel it, you start to act like it—and then things really start happening.

How I Shift My Energy

If you’ve been feeling like you’re never doing enough or you’re not enough, I see you.

And maybe the answer isn’t to do more. Maybe it’s to shift your energy and trust that small, consistent steps are moving you forward—even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.

One of the easiest ways I snap myself out of the "I’m not doing enough" or "I’m not enough" mindset is by choosing my words carefully.

Saying "I am doing enough" or "I am enough" often feels forced. But rewording it slightly to:

💡 "I allow myself to see everything that I am doing."

💡 "I allow myself to see my worth."

That small shift changes everything. It’s like shifting gears in a car and suddenly seeing the green light—like the energy is moving for me, not against me.

What’s Coming Next

I don’t have it all figured out. But I do have something I’m proud of—my book.

It’s coming this year, and it’s all about how to deal with overwhelm, get yourself out of burnout, and never lose yourself again.

This book means so much to me. It’s the book I wish I had when I was struggling, and my hope is that it gives people the tools to either prevent burnout or find their way out of it.

So if you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what’s next—maybe this is your sign to shift something.

✨ Maybe it’s as small as changing the way you word your inner dialogue.

✨ Maybe it’s a bigger step—taking the leap you’ve been afraid of.

Either way, fear will always try to hold you in your comfort zone. But courage? That’s where you grow.
