Get to know me!
If I had to describe myself right now, I would say I am a chronically overwhelmed, busy mom of three who’s doing her best to stay present.
Originally from Iceland, I was born in USA and have moved between countries several times, most recently returning to the US in 2024 after spending the past 15 years Iceland.
My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve recovered from a car accident, faced burnout, and experienced a nervous breakdown. I know firsthand what it’s like to navigate anxiety, depression, and PTSD. These experiences have shaped my approach as a trainer and coach, grounding it in compassion, empathy, and realistic methods that truly work in the "real world."
After being hit by a car, which altered my whole career, I pursued "the universal path" of creating my own work, using the power of intention and self-belief to make my dreams a reality. Since then, I have dedicated my career to listening to my intuition and maintaining an undeniable belief that everything is somehow working for me even though I cannot see it right now.
Fitness has been my passion since 2008, although I did not pursue it as work until 2014. I have been teaching group fitness classes part and full time since 2014 ending with opening my own gym in 2020. I have been offering online group and 1-on-1 training since 2018. The workout programs I am offering here are all accessible under the tab Fitness. After my third child in 2021, I developed the POWER 16 workout system—quick, effective 16-minute home workouts that fit into any busy schedule. Following my nervous breakdown in 2022 and burnout recovery, I created the Low Intensity workout plan. The gym plan is an approach I’ve refined over the years, and the strength plan is an addition to it. The CORE workout plan is my experience as a pre- and postnatal exercise specialist since 2018, condensed into 12 workouts. The running plan is designed for women at any level to reach a 6-mile goal, built on my own experience as a runner since 2008. I believe there’s a workout plan for everyone.
Nutrition can also feel overwhelming! Where do you start? What to eat? How to food prep? How to organize everything around food? It's just all alot, especially if you have kids! My approach to nutrition is to make it as simple as possible, focusing on less rather than more and using food prep as a "power move" to wellbeing. I have found using macros as a guide helpful learning about the "energy" you are consuming and seeing how you can improve your overall wellbeing by choosing fruits, vegetables, fiber-rich carbs, fats, and, most importantly, focusing on your protein goals. Here I am sharing food plans as a guide and information on macros and micros. Please use this as a guide and know that there is no "one-size-fits-all" when it comes to nutrition. There are so many variables that can factor in, especially for women having a mensural cycle that alters everything every month.
As for home organization, I have always had a passion for de-cluttering and organizing since I can remember! I got a diploma in Professional Organizing in 2013 but didn’t realize how much clutter could impact me until I experienced burnout 2022. With kids, it often feels like your home becomes a magnet for clutter. I developed a home organizing course built on my knowledge and realistic experience as a mom of three and am sharing practical tips and tricks that I have developed.
In the future, I will be offering one-on-one coaching as well as group challenges related to fitness, nutrition and organizing as this is what I love to do.
